What this tool will do
Write a page title and meta description and see how Google is likely to show them, on mobile and desktop, before you publish. A pixel counter shows where Google would cut the text, because Google truncates by width, not by number of characters.
How to write a title and description that get clicks
- Put the main keyword near the start of the title, and write it for a person, not a robot.
- Keep titles to roughly 50-60 characters (about 580 pixels) so the end is not cut.
- Use the description to promise what the page delivers and give a reason to click; about 150-160 characters.
- Give every page its own title and description. Duplicates make pages compete with each other.
