What the page speed test measures
This free page speed test runs Google’s PageSpeed Insights on your page, first for mobile and then for desktop. You get a score out of 100, the three Core Web Vitals (how fast the main content loads, how long the page freezes, how much it jumps around), real-visitor data when Google has it, and the opportunities that would save the most time.
Why speed matters for rankings and sales
Slow pages lose visitors before they see anything, and Google uses Core Web Vitals as a ranking signal. On mobile data a heavy page can feel broken. Fixing the one or two biggest problems usually gives most of the gain.
How to read the results
- Start with the mobile tab: most visitors and Google’s crawler use mobile.
- Fix the items marked “Fix” first, then “Improve”. The list of opportunities is sorted by time saved.
- Test again after each change. Results are cached for 6 hours, so wait a little between tests of the same page.
The test is a lab test on a simulated phone. The “real visitors” section comes from Google’s Chrome user data and may be missing for small sites.
