What this schema markup generator does

This free schema markup generator builds JSON-LD structured data for eight common types: local business, organization, article, FAQ, product, service, event and breadcrumbs. Fill in a form, watch the code update as you type, and copy it as plain JSON or as a ready script tag. Everything runs in your browser.

Why structured data helps

Structured data tells search engines in a standard format what a page is about, such as a business name and address, a product price or an event date. It can make a page eligible for rich results, but eligibility is not a guarantee: Google decides what to show, and the markup must match what visitors can see on the page.

How to use it

  • Pick the type that matches your page and fill in the form. Fields marked Required are needed for complete markup.
  • Fix anything the tool flags: missing fields, wrong web addresses, dates or prices.
  • Copy the result, paste it into the page, then test it with Google’s Rich Results Test and the Schema Markup Validator.

Nothing you type is sent to us.

Questions

What is JSON-LD?

JSON-LD is a way to write structured data as a small block of JSON inside a script tag. Google recommends it, and it does not change how your page looks to visitors.

Will schema markup give me rich results?

Not necessarily. Valid markup makes a page eligible, but Google decides whether to show a rich result. The markup must also describe content that visitors can really see on the page.

Where do I paste the code?

Paste the script tag into the head or body of the page it describes. On WordPress you can use the schema field of your SEO plugin, a header and footer plugin, or a Custom HTML block.

Which fields are required?

The form marks each field as Required or Recommended, following Google’s documentation. Where Google lists no strict requirement, such as for articles and organizations, the tool asks for the fields that make the markup meaningful.

Do FAQ rich results still appear in Google?

Since 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results only for well-known government and health websites. FAQ markup on other sites stays valid and other tools can still read it, but do not expect the expandable result.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The generator runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to our servers or stored by us.
